After working as a freelance wardrobe and prop stylist for some of the world’s most recognized brands, Allison applied her design knowledge of texture and color to her lifelong passion for landscaping and gardening. To further her education, Allison earned a landscape design certificate from the New York Botanical Garden in Bronx, NY.
To Allison, it’s more than flowers and lush plantings— it’s about connections to her father and grandmother, who were avid gardeners, and to the Earth’s soil. After identifying and focusing on each client’s specific goals, she continues to bring her unique combination of refined style, sophistication, and principled gardening knowledge to design elegant, thoughtful properties that get better year after year.

How do you describe your personal style?
I’m a blend between modern and classic. I have a deep appreciation of classic design and history. I love classic references in the garden. I also love modern art, fashion and architecture.
What types of projects excite you?
I love all projects big and small. I am most excited when I have customers who trust me and the process we create together. This balance of input and trust always creates the most successful meaningful projects.
What people, places, or things inspire you?
I am inspired by many things and places. Every time I travel I take in a new garden, architecture and ideas. I am a sucker for hedges in the Hamptons, meadows in Colorado and flora in Miami. Edmund Hollander is a landscape architect who always inspires me!
