Q&A
How do you describe your design style?
I would say it's a real mix! My aesthetic is a blend of my client’s style and my own personal taste. There's no one-size-fits-all look that you'll find in every project; instead, it's an evolving journey influenced by my childhood experiences in South Africa and enriched by the cultures, travels, and art I've encountered over the years. Drawing inspiration from both European and South African styles, I've discovered my unique edge in the American design landscape. It's a style that's diverse, fresh, and vibrant. Expensive but lived in. Clean but chic. By seamlessly weaving my style with what my clients love, we create spaces that truly feel like THEIR home. If I had to choose 3 words to describe my style I would say diverse, fresh, and colorful.
Which projects excite you most?
I love when a client puts their full trust in me and allows me to really run with it. I thrive when I have the opportunity to let my creativity soar. What's equally rewarding is the deep connection that forms with some clients when working together. In these instances, I don't just help create their homes; I become a part of their homes, and that, to me, is incredibly fulfilling.
Anything else you want potential clients to know about you?
I don't believe that your art has to match your furniture. It should tell your unique story. I thrive on the joy of working with clients who share the same passion for design as I do. And I am a full service kinda girl. I offer everything you need, from start to finish, like they say in South Africa – from "soup to nuts."
