Roundup: 10 Sustainable & Stylish Furniture Resale Shops

Want to avoid a home that feels “cookie-cutter?” Try filling it with things no one else has. Perhaps the best way to do this is by shopping at high-end consignment stores. Secondhand home decor shopping is a triple win – it's kind to your home, wallet, and importantly, the planet. Some great items to consider buying secondhand include dining chairs, lamps, dressers, artwork, rugs and mirrors. And the hunt for that special piece just waiting for it’s new life is part of the fun! Even if your home is already complete, consider discovering that perfect eco-friendly and unique center piece, or even a housewarming or welcome gift for your next get together.

Americans discard over 12 million tons of furniture each year, leading to a 450 percent increase in solid waste since 1960, according to the EPA.

To guide you on your search, we’ve curated a list of favorite resale shops in Fairfield County. You’ll be sure to find something you love that you never knew you needed…
