Summer Color Pop & Shop
Summer is a chance to go wild and incorporate bright colors into your decor. Does the idea of sea-foam green side chairs flanking a white dining table excite you? How about hot pink pillows and a sunshine yellow umbrella dressing up a gray lounge chair, or lime green & lavender accents with on off-white sofa? If you’re dreaming of an outdoor space that’s modern, fresh and colorful, read on for some pro tips and inspo to get you started.
1. It’s All About That Base:
Neutral shades like white, beige, and gray are timeless and a fantastic base for larger outdoor furniture pieces, most likely what you already own. If you’re starting from scratch, take into account the color of your home’s exterior and any existing stonework for a look that blends but isn’t too matchy-matchy:
2. Get in the Mood
Warm colors like red, orange, and yellow are known to energize and build a sense of excitement, while cool colors such as blue, green, and purple instill a sense of tranquility and relaxation. 3. Stick With It
Use your surroundings to help inform your color decisions by looking at your flower beds, house color, front door color, and anything else within your property. You may also want to consider the color palette you use indoors and extend that, in different shades, to your outdoor space. Then, aim for a balance between your neutral base color and choose and repeat 2-3 accent colors to achieve a visually cohesive look. Summertime is all about effortless living and enjoying every moment, so go bold with your dream color combo in your outdoor living space. You got this! Simply add pops of your favorite palette, then sit back and enjoy.
Now that you have established your color palette, it's time to get shopping: pillows, rugs, umbrellas, side tables, bar carts, planters, side chairs, poufs, pool towels, and more! Here are some of our favorites to get you started:
