Robin’s Whimsical Nest
March is all about women, so we are continuing to celebrate creative and stylish women in our own community. What better way to get to know a woman than taking a peek inside her home?
This week’s style profile is Boston-Kansas hybrid turned CT local and current Editor of @westportlifestylemagazine, Robin Chung. Stepping into Robin’s home feels like spring coming early. Birds, botanicals, and fresh colors abound, and you just want to smile. Green is her go-to, “it’s a colorful neutral and it’s calming.” And of course, her outfit matches her wallpaper, naturally.
Robin’s mom, a designer, helped with the house. Her own style comfort zone is clothes. Robin’s obsessed with consignment: “I can afford what I really want, and I love the high-low combo!” Her advice is to save on clothes and spurge on jewelry, “because jewelry lasts forever.”
Her dining chairs are a resale find, lovingly restored. The dining room wallpaper is by @brunschwigfills. in But the piece de resistance is the happy surprise on Robin’s front porch, beautifully painted by @floepainting in @benjaminmoore Carribbean Blue.
