About
Maria grew up in Connecticut, the product of a long line of skilled masons and carpenters. Her upbringing gave her an innate sense of material and craftsmanship which she applies to every project. At the age of 15 she began working after school for a construction company, where her passion for the design/construction industry was born. She first pursued an accounting degree, and received her CPA in 1987. After climbing the corporate ladder for 25 years in the world of high finance and accounting, she decided to pursue a career following her early passion. After studying interior design at Fairfield University she launched her own design firm. She has successfully combined her business and project management skills with her design training to offer her clients the total package. Smart designs, custom cabinetry, seamless project management, and budget tracking all under one roof.

How do you describe your design style?
All of our cabinetry is hand-crafted in CT from the finest materials with the greatest attention to detail. Our years of experience allow us to craft anything from a traditional stained kitchen to a modern buffed high gloss white kitchen. We can create any door style, and match any custom color.
Which projects excite you most?
The types of projects that excite me are those where I can make a big impact. This can be made by moving walls, or adding windows, or raising the ceiling height, etc. Or it can be done in more subtle ways like providing the homeowner with more storage, or a better functioning kitchen or bath.
Anything else you want potential clients to know about you?
Remodeling, renovating, or rebuilding is a monumental task but I have built a close-knit group of the best contractors and suppliers around who will get the project done correctly, on time, and on budget. My clients frequently say that I took the fear out of the renovation process for them. It’s deeply satisfying to see how pleased they are with the final result.
