About
Merrin Jones is the Principal Designer and Founder of the award-winning boutique design firm. After receiving her B.A. from Yale University, Merrin's design career started in the fashion industry with world renowned fashion brands, Abercrombie & Fitch and Gap, Inc. As a member of their Design & Development teams. Inspired by her travels and motivated by her long-time passion for interior design, Merrin moved to London to further her education at the KLC School of Design. While abroad, Merrin apprenticed under several of London’s top luxury residential designers. In 2018, Merrin brought her talents back to the States where she established MJI and planted her roots.

How do you describe your design style?
Merrin is known for her luxe but casual aesthetic while crafting beautiful environments with carefully curated details. Well versed in all styles the firm specialized in organic modern and a new take on American traditional. Through thoughtful color palettes and finishes, plush textiles, cozy furnishing selections and attention to ambiance, every detail is carefully curated. The essence of each finished space goes beyond visual aesthetics to further become an immersive experience that deeply resonates with each client on an emotional level.

We specialize in full-service, high-end residential design with a diverse portfolio that exemplifies the range and versatility of our design team. Each project we embark on is a collaborative journey with our clients and their chosen architect and builder. From kick-off to completion, we work closely with the appointed team and trusted trades to transform your inspiration into curated spaces that are both visually captivating and tailor made to suit your family's lifestyle through interior architecture and furnishings. Our focus on millwork, fixtures, materials, lighting and furnishings while project managing allows for one seamless vision to be executed and delivered.
