About
We first opened because, together with a small team of artisans, we make great furniture. Now homeowners come to us for concierge interior and furniture design service, visiting every few months for a new project. Interior designers rely on us to build ultra-custom pieces for residences, hotels, restaurants and more.
What makes The Tailored Home unique is that we’re furniture designers, we’re furniture manufacturers, we’re textile experts, and we’re color experts. All of our furniture is made in Norwalk and it is made in a facility that’s managed by us. And the furniture that we design custom for clients is made to fit in their space perfectly.

What motivated you to open your showroom?
We thought that there was a lack of joy and variety in furniture shopping. But curating a space that works for us means borrowing from different design genres and having more of a layered and curated and curated look.
Tell us about how you make window treatments, most people don’t know this:
We have more material options than most window and shade stores and greater flexibility in construction. We take our own measurements and install our own work versus contracting it out.
What’s it like to shop your fabric library?:
Our textile library at the Westport showroom can look overwhelming because we have over 10,000 samples and your typical experience in a furniture showroom is looking at a sofa that comes in 1 pattern and 6 colors. To approach a library like this just give us a few identifying factors about what is important to you. We can take 10,000 samples and reduce until we get to the right fabric for you within a few minutes.
Jhon, tell us about your unique vision:
I’ve been in this business for more than 25 years and it’s been a vision to create something different to inspire people, to mark a difference between furniture and experience. When we talk about The Tailored Home, we’re not only talking about color, we’re talking about quality, we’re talking about happiness, and that’s what this place brings to people.
