SNOOP: Jenn Falik’s Ultimate Parlor Room
You may know Jenn Falik from her epic fashion and fun finds blog “The Ultimate Edit.” Or you’ve seen her on NBC’s The Today Show dishing out shopping pearls. But while Jenn has fashion on lock, when it comes to her home’s interior, her husband Brian is their Creative Director. He partnered with Shawna Feeley Interiors to give their Westport, CT living room an over-the-top makeover to turn it into a parlor fit for a party. The wallpapered ceiling is where it all began. The mural is from Flavor Paper and it’s in a “Sting Ray” finish which gives it that gloss.
The artwork makes a statement in this room too. When the couple saw this large work with an empowering female message by Ashley Longshore they had to have it. Jenn is mom to two young girls. The art sits over the custom banquette which has transitions to a dancing bench at parties. Under the bench is a piece of inexpensive sculpture the couple bought on a whim in Soho for their first apartment and have kept with them ever since.
Flanking the banquette are two custom built-ins. The on one the right houses the collection of antique vaseline glass Jenn was given by her great aunt, a collector. On the right is a rolling bar cart being watched over by a jewel-encrusted deer-head her husband found and fell in love with.
In the opposite corner, for those who don’t behave, a “Time Out” chair also by artist Ashley Longshore.
Over the black-tile clad fireplace, a piece of sexy lips art from Art Sugar and sconces the couple found on a trip to Thailand.
Most of the furniture, including the purple sofa and hot pink chairs, is sourced from Wayfair. The chartreuse pillow is from Opal House by Target. The lucite coffee table is from Lilian August. Each holiday Jenn treats herself to a giant candle from Nest (shop it HERE) and this year was no exception.
